I also gave up on wearing watches less than ten years ago because within months, I would kill their batteries. I have not really understood the streetlight thing; I've always just thought it was the way the lights were made. I didn't know some people made them go out. So I really can't offer any proof there. The main thing is, I kill watches and lights.
